Three ways to wear palazzo saree

Indo-western Kurta Palazzo Saree

Most of the palazzo saree looks are Indo-western and can be carried effortlessly in any traditional function. Keeping this in mind, I have paired one of my pink polka dot kurta (very old) with my chikankari white palazzo pants (5 years old) and draped my white embroidered dupatta over it like a saree. I have tucked the dupatta at the waist like in ghagra choli and taken the pallu in front. This sidha pallu drape is put in place with a broad belt that covers the tucked in kurta and palazzo pants. Since I have only one broad belt in Black, I have used that. If you have a matching belt or if your palazzo pants are the formal ones, you can completely skip the belt altogether.

Retro style Palazzo Saree

Sarees are the best way to revive vintage. If you are heading to a retro party and you do not want to wear a saree for a change then palazzo saree can be your best bet. Drape your palazzo saree over a polka dot top to give it a retro vibe.

Don a pair of oversized sunglasses and a head scarf or head band and go total vintage. The drape here is exactly same as the earlier one just replace your kurta with a top to create a sustainable yet stylish palazzo saree look.

You can either choose to wear the belt or skip it depending upon the style of your top and the fall of your dupatta.

For me both the style work equally well. The best part is I get to restyle my old dupatta in stylish new ways that I can carry off to a retro party as well.

You saw this one coming! Palazzo saree trend is hit amongst our Celebrities, especiall Sonam kapoor who is the fashion premier. Most palazzo sarees sold in market, have a dupatta attached to one palazzo pants in the way I have tucked it at one corner. You can also stitch a dupatta to your  palazzo for more finer look.

In this celebrity style drape I have picked up one of the drapes that Sonam kapoor has been flaunting off late. Which is to just change the way the pallu is draped and wrap it around your neck like a scarf.

It gives a fairly modern take to the palazzo saree and cinching it up with a belt gives and edge. Here I have paired it with one of my peach peplum top. Peplum tops, crop tops and shirts are great to pair with a palazzo saree to give the desired Indo-western twist to the saree draping.

Use any of your old dupatta and matching palazzo and go drape, drape , drape. You can also use a printed or contrasting dupatta with a colour co-ordinated palazzo pants and top. Remember two out of the three things that you are using to collaborate here in the palazzo saree has to match. I have matched the dupatta with the palazzo.
