Wrap it on a skirt
The wrap around skirt that I have is a cute short skirt that gives a pretty much straight fit. It looks really cute when paired it with a maxi skirt giving a little fancy detail to the outfit. Wrap your wrap around skirt over another skirt and make up a complete new outfit.
Here I have styled the floral wrap around skirt with my solid navy blue maxi skirt and a multicolored gingham print cotton spaghetti top
A sarong for Beach look
The beautiful floral wrap around skirt that falls just above my knees looks really pretty when worn as it is with a top. But when I bought this one from Goa, my ultimate purpose was to use it as a sarong or wear it at the beach. This is one of the most popular way to style a wrap around skirt by turning it into a make shift sarong.
Wearing my floral skirt as sarong with my swimsuit. Another way is to use a scarf as a sarong. It not only looks modest but is super easy to dry due to its airy folds and makes up for a very utilitarian clothing for beach or pool side.
Wear it like a Bridal shawl
Bridal shawl or the bridal wrap is the most elegant way to wear a scarf on your evening dress. Its styling your scarf in caplet style taking a cue from the 60’s era. Scarf is an amazing multipurpose clothing and so is the wrap around skirt. Here I have used my wrap around skirt instead of scarf and tied it in a bridal shawl style.
All I have done here is taken the skirt up to my shoulder and wrapped from the back tying the loose ends in front in a cape style. I have hidden the belt on both ends by taking them back again and tying a knot at the back. That way the scarf stays in place as well.
Poncho Style
Drape the skirt in a very loose manner over the shoulders and tie in the front in a low knot to give a poncho style twist to the look.
Skirt to Vest
Just like there are different ways to wear a scarf, there are numerous ways to style your wrap around skirt as well, because upon opening it looks more or less like a long scarf. The added advantage is that its bigger and thus can be used in more convenient ways than a scarf!
Another way to style the skirt into Vest is to bring it up to your shoulders from your back and wrap both the ends in front. Instead of tying the knot in front like we did earlier, take the loose and and tie them at the nape of your neck leaving the skirt hem loosely fall on each side of your front like a Vest.
Kerchief Scarf
Have you heard that the kerchief style is the one the most popular amongst the different ways to wear a scarf? Well its because its the most easiest yet very chic look to tie your scarf. Moreover it can range from a very basic to super elegant tie.
Well the difference is, I have not used a scarf! Its a wrap around skirt wrapped around my neck in form of an over sized kerchief tie looking like a blanket scarf. Here I have just loosely wrapped the skirt around my neck playing with the folds such that they fall into a triangular kerchief like shape in the front.
Loop Scarf
One of the most basic and easiest way to tie a scarf is the loop style. Why use a scarf when you have a wrap around skirt with you?
Skirt to Tube
Another trendy multipurpose styling of a wrap around skirt would be to turn it into a tube top! We have seen many fashionistas styling their scarf into tube tops, its time we step up the game. Style your wrap around skirt into a cute tube top and beat the heat!
Here I have wrapped my skirt from back just under my arms and tightly secured it with a bow knot in front to convert the skirt into a sexy tube top. Here is my going to disco look with my wrap around skirt as tube top, black bell bottoms and a mirror work belt. To authenticate my look, I have tied my hair up in and updo, donned the choker neck piece and handmade pearl earrings.
Another way to style this makeshift tube is to wear it with hair down and a cute pair of heels for a dinner date. I have kept the ends out to give a loose fitted tube look of the skirt.
Another tube top look is my laid back beach party look with a breezy scarf in hair as headband and cute beach flip flops. This look can be done with two different scarves making it a an out and out multipurpose outfit!
