Monsoon season calls for comfortable flowy outfits that do not stick to your skin when wet. Season’s hottest trend, Flare pants totally fits the bill! They are mostly made of rayon, polyester or lycra which is the preferred fabric for monsoon and they are super comfortable. Also most of the flare pants these days are ankle length so you don’t have to worry about spoiling the bell bottoms. So here is one retro inspired Monsoon fashion look from my Monsoon look book series.

A vintage inspired bell bottoms with a crop top is the latest fad for monsoons and has become my go to outfit during rains. These zebra striped flare palazzo pants are made of polyester material and thus they dry quickly making it best outfit during rains.

For this look, I have used a statement oxidized neck-piece, a silver backpack and black pumps. Nothing fancy to keep the look classy and elegant.

Tips to style flared pants in Monsoon
Here are some different ways you can style your bell bottoms or flare pants this season.
- Pair the flare pants with a cute crop tops and a back-pack like I have done in this look.
- Shrug it up with your favorite shrug and wear a tea-bag or tank top inside.
- Go colour co-ordinates with matching bell sleeved top or blouse.
- Wear them with a warm cardigan to beat the monsoon chills.
- Bell bottoms and a formal dress shirt can make a great work wear for monsoon
- Knot your shirt into a classic 70’s look and go retro with the bell bottom pants.
- Wear a bustier top with your flare pants and pile up a leather jacket for the biker chic look.
- Pair your flare pants with a solid colour kurta and go Indo-western with bell bottoms.
- Pair up with an off-shoulder top and a straw hat for your perfect monsoon beach vacation.

For the makeup and hair, I followed the minimal look considering its drizzling all the time and as such its all going to wash off or look blotchy if overdone. I have skipped the foundation here and used only compact powder post moisturizer to set in the face. A bold red lipstick in matte so that it does not bleed and finished the look with a turquoise blue kajal on my waterline.
