Summer Monsoon Capsule Collection – Different ways to style pompom tie-ups
Pompoms is one of the cutest fashion accessory for the season. Be it Summer or Dull Monsoons, these vibrant fluffy tufts can make any day cheerful! Pompom accessories come in many forms like key-chains, necklace, earrings, belts and even sandals. Last Summer was all about funky Pompom Tie-ups and surprisingly the trend has carried forward into 2018. Pompoms are great when used as a statement accessory and thus a funky pair of pompom sandals or tie-ups will go a long way. I bought this pair from aliexpress last year and whenever I wear them, I am showered with compliments. I always love to come up with different ways to wear the pompom sandals. The best thing about pompom tie-ups is that you mix them up with many outfits. Here is how I styled my pompom tie-ups with 5 different outfits along with some quick tips to wear the pompom sandals.
White Summer Dress and Pompom Tie-ups
One of the best way to flaunt your colourful pompom tie-ups is to wear them with a short summer dress. White Summer dress is a Summer monsoon fashion essential and if you have such pretty sandals to go with the dress, you are sure to turn a few heads your way.
This looks give a boho-chic vibe with the carefree summer dress and funky pompom flats. I have accessorized my look with matching pompom neck-piece. Its basically a sleek pompom chain wound doubly to give a gradient chain look. A pair of aqua blue sunglasses complete my boho look.
Ethnic Skirt and Pompom flats
Another great way to style your pompom tie-ups is with an ethnic skirt. Channelize your desi goddess by going hipster in an elephant print wrap around skirt paired with your favorite tank top, a pop fringe shrug and funky pompom sandals.
This is a vintage hip hop look with a desi twist apt for those creative minds who love to carry some pop of culture wherever they go! I have completed my look with an elephant print sling bag from India Circus.
Denim Shorts and Pompom flats
Best way to wear tie-up flats is with short hem clothes so as to accentuate your legs and make you look taller. Which is why pairing your pompom flats with denim shorts can be a great summer outfit. Here I have worn a summery cotton top with denim shorts and pompom tie-ups. This look is pretty casual and my go to look for summer or monsoon season!
I have completed my look with a cute hairband and a pompom bracelet for the fun summer vibe!
Formals with Pompoms
It sounds strange when we talk of formals with pompoms but come to think of it these multicolored fuzz balls actually stand out with a solid colored outfit. Which is why when paired with a black blouse and pencil skirt they literally steal the show! Its a great swap for your regular shoes when you want to head to a party directly from work. Just wear them with your formals, open up your hair and apply a red lippie and you ready to convert a day outfit to a night one!
Check out how cute these pompom sandals look with my formal lace skirt and blouse. To keep the highlight on the sandals I have gone very minimal on makeup and other accessories.
Denim pants and Pompom sandals
Of what I have seen, pompoms look great with denims. Its like blending the hipster and casual look. Prep up for a brunch or casual outing by throwing on some pompoms over your jeans and go hippie chic!
The best thing about pompom tie-ups is that you can utilize them as flats and tie-ups both. All you need to do is to tie the threads lower at the ankle and make it look like pompom flats just like I have done in this look.
