Wardrobe Must Have – Little  Black Dress from Day to Night!

A little Black Dress is so passé. The new in town is the seductive Black gown with all its feminine allures, be it plunging neck or see through lace or the off-shoulder oomph and this one is here for a long stay! A full length Black gown is one super dress that can easily be transformed from a peppy casual to a subtle Formal or a seductive party dress with a few accessories on hand and of-course, if you have time, in hand some great hair styles. One such Black gown has become my Wardrobe essential since my pregnancy days, for reasons very well known. Here are two simple ways to style it with just a change of accessories. First One is more of a Day look with pink accessories and matching glares.

Day wear – Black Dress for Casual wear

This is a very simple black lace dress which thrifted from a local store (nothing to write home about it!) but the variety of accessories I can match up with it is endless just because of its basic colour and no fuss tailoring. I have gone all poppy pink with it with a pink bag, sandals and rose tinted glasses. Considering my moods those days its totally evident I was carrying a baby girl (Wait a min..who knew?? 😛 )

A subtle lipstick and natural makeup (read just the compact) works best for the day time. The best part about it is that it has gathers on the waist which prove to be great for that little bulging tummy and other wise which makes it to be a great pre maternity, maternity and post maternity outfit, not to disregard its comfort fitting.

I wore the same outfit to a night out with hubby (a movie and dinner date of course, what else do you expect when preggers :P) and I found it worked pretty great for the cause. I just added a little bit of bling with gold accessories and that patent leaf ear cuff (It was a rage in those days!) Just to be specific these pictures are of two years back more or less. A bright red lipstick and a little mascara and eye-liner and I was good to go.
