This is the second edition to my “Sister of the Bride” outfits from my existing wardrobe where I try and utilize my existing resources to create a bridal look for the impending wedding in the family and the subsequent wedding ceremonies and functions. This particular lehenga is an amalgamation of three different outfits put togather. The net brocade ghagra is from my DIY Jacket lehenga that I designed 3.5 years ago for one my cousin’s wedding. It is made out of a net saree which I found to elaborate to carry and decided to cut it down into a ghagra. You can check out my Jacket lehenga design here. The choli is actually a saree blouse from one of the sarees mom gifted to me when “little A” was born and the banarasi silk dupatta is bought along with my sister to be used in numerous ways on my ethnic salwar kameez.

Pastel pink has always been my favourite colour and I totally love how I have managed to create a DIY look in my favourite colour. This is also a great lehenga to be worn in the sangeet ceremony of your sister since its simple and elegant yet has a certain glamour to it. This has to be my best “Sister of the Bride” lehenga so far.

The kundan jewellery is from my wedding reception, its a chokar set in pink stone and kundan and one of my best investment of my wedding trosseau. It has lasted me a decade and still looks new.

Aiming for a more natural look for makeup, I used pink and orange-gold ombre eye-shadow from sleek eyeshadow palette. Black eyeliner from chambor and gold eyeliner from maybeline hyperglossy, a matching fuschia pink lipstick from oriflame and highlighter blush from oriflame. This is a perfect makeup for the sister of the bride for the day look during morning ceremonies.
