Pink and Blue Shoe Theme Baby Shower and its Printables
This one post is long due and I have finally managed to sit down and bring you some more details into my earlier post about Creative ideas for DIY Baby Shower as promised earlier I will be sharing all the details of my baby shower preparations and decorations and the links to free invites, free banner printables, games and party props online. Since the time I have hosted my own Baby shower I have been asked number of times these two questions, Did you hire an event manager? to which my answer is obviously No and pop comes the next, please share the details of place you got all the stuff from? I hope this little post answers that and help you plan your theme based dream baby shower event more better. 🙂
Baby Shower Invites Online
There are some really cute baby shower printables online depending on the theme you choose. Here is a link to the disney baby theme printable invitation. Baby Shower Banner Online
There are many ready made Baby shower banners available in the market. However if you would want a customized budget friendly banner according to your theme then free printables are your friends. From cars to disney princess, mickey mouse to strawberries, baby bottles to cribs there are lots of themes and designs to choose from. I opted for the disney princess theme for reasons well known 🙂 from the site disney baby.
All you have to do is print them, cut out in pretty shapes, stack the cut-outs together, punch holes with a paper punch at each of the corners, pass a beautiful satin ribbon or glitter thread & your baby shower banner is ready. Here is how I did it, as you can see I printed the banner and cut each of the alphabets in pretty circles.
Since the printable does not have your name, you can custom make them pretty easily just like me with a little knowledge of paint & Microsoft office. I drew out circles of the colours matching my banner with the alphabets of my name in microsoft powerpoint (yes I still use that :P) selected a font similar to the printable banners and I used pink satin ribbon to finish the banner.
Baby Shower favors
Favors or return gifts for a baby shower event are always the most tricky and most memorable part. That’s what the guest take home from the event and along with it goes the memories of the function. Getting a right favor that would look cute, go with the theme, be useful and at the same time not put a damn hole in your pocket is a little difficult but not impossible. With so many creative ideas out there you can easily make your own baby shower favor all intact with those tiny cute thank you cards & a lovely message for the guests to take home and remember you. What I did was a decorative shoe shaped basket favor, where I filled the shoe shaped basket with goodies. Lets break it into parts to make it more understandable.
Baby Shower decorative favor baskets
These are the cutest and most creative part of the gift. They are pretty baskets in beautiful colors and cute shapes ranging from diaper to prams to feeding bottles and what not. Since my theme was pink and blue and our cake contained a pair each of baby shoes, I decided to go for these cutesy decorative shoe basket created from cardboard paper and can be crafted easily at home with some glue, decorative papers, pearl stickers and rose stickers.
In order to do it at home you have to take one of your/friends baby’s shoe & mark the bottom part on the paper. Cut it out and put aside. On another paper make cone shape that would fit perfectly into the paper cut-out and cut-off the top portion. Cut out a ribbon shape rectangle for the strap from the left over paper and your shoe is ready. You can also print a message at the back of these pretty cute shoes and customize your return gifts.
Glue it up and start decorating it. In case you don’t have time to make them, you can buy such ready made baskets available at chocolate stores or with people who sell creative baskets online.
Favor gifts
Now comes the part where you would want to fill these cute baskets. You can either fill it with chocolates or some other goodies that you think would be useful for your guests. Remember, putting a Thankyou tag in all these favors will add a personal touch. I filled them with both chocolates as well as cute little pink and blue nail paints. Nail polish can also be cute baby shower gifts all by itself.
Get the prettiest baby blue and baby pink nail polish of a good brand and tag it with a thank you card attached with a thin satin ribbon on the top of it. Baby Shower photo booth props
Some lovely DIY photo booth prop free printables at etsy.com, kensykate and personalcreations.com. Also you can print a single single photo booth prop by downloading some amazing free baby prop vectors from all free download.com and create your very own baby shower prop. How to make them? Simple, print each of them on A4 size glossy paper and cut out, paste a straw/ ice-cream stick/ kulfi stick below each of the cut out and you are ready with your very own photo booth prop!
