Fashion Designer Archana Kochhar’s Collection at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012
Digitized Geometric Prints with bright colours and alphabetical letters got live on the ramp when Vishal prints presented Designer Archana Kochhar’s Collection at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 which completed 3 days back in Mumbai (Apologies for late post :)). Earlier last month, we had shared with you the insights of Archana’s Collection at lakme Fashion Week 2012 here.

Archana’s Collection boasted a repertoire of style and fashion with her collection of 36 garments comprising 18 saris and 18 fusion creations with geometric bold prints and Colour splashing cocktail saris, elegant short tunics, dramatic dresses and stunning gowns with cascading drapes. The collection was aptly named Retro-metric owing to the 70’s style printed theme of it.

Sarees showcased abstract prints in silk, satin, chiffon and georgette with detailing like circular tassels on the pallavs or dual prints to create a mix-matched modernization to the Retro feel. Some were pre-stitched for a more figure hugging profile.

The choli’s were dramatic and stylish with slashed sleeves or draw strings and hindi alphabets( Devanagari script) dangling on them. Necklines were corded or halter with asymmetric hemlines. Embellishments ranged from crystal embroidery featuring the Devanagari script to twinkling sequins and zari.

Archana’s Collection varied from slinky draped maxis to flirtatious ballerina layered wired skirts worn with shimmering corsets. Asymmetric hemlines with sheer fabrics gave a new edge to the whole collection.

Show Stopper Sameera Reddy, bollywood actress and Glam-diva gleamed in a Printed Deepblue-black saree.

All in all Archana’s Collection presented by Vishal prints was a colourfull spectacle of Retro-metric Fashion making a dramatic entry in the fashion World.

Earlier this year Archana had presented a spectacular Collection with pastel hue’s during Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 bringing a bright freshness to the Fashion Industry in India, her Collection this season took it a notch higher with its class and elegance.
