Indian Beauty & Fashion Blog – Puriso Soaps Tropical Harvest, Grandma’s Garden & Spice Therapy Review
As V-day nears making a list of all things lovely becomes imperative! I have always been all about nature and natural fragrances and as I always say when dressing up for your special day, you should feel special and treat yourself specially. Bathing yourself in wilderness and taking a spa trip is something one should indulge in once a while and what better than V-day to celebrate how much you love yourself and your skin?

Puriso Soaps Review
The cute little packages came right in time for my Vday preparations and I am glad I tried them on.. These are handmade, cruelty free soaps by Puriso that have a strong lingering fragrance for each of them. Puriso claims to be designer hand-crafted soaps and going by their fancy names, they sure stick to the brand identity. The three of the soaps that I am reviewing today are Tropical Harvest, Grandma’s Garden and Spice Therapy. Did these soaps put upto my expectations of them or not?? Check out my review below:
Tropical Harvest Review

Tropical Harvest Review
Name- Tropical Harvest
Fragrance Type- Fruity
Quanitity – 150 gms
Price – 300 inr.
This particular soap claims to have a sweet, sour and tangy fragrance of unripe mangoes. 100% Vegan and not tested on animals. The ingredients comprise cocoa butter, Vitamin E and Rice bran oil.
Packaging: The soap is a huge bar in beautiful green colour ringlets on cream background plastic wrapped and in a transparent case. The packaging is pretty cute.
Experience:
To be honest, I have a real dry skin and especially in Winter it gets all flaky. I mostly use highly moisturized soaps such as Dove or use cocoa butter body wash. Thus when these soaps arrived I was a little skeptical to try them on. The tropical Harvest does smell of unripe mangoes but I some how feel its more strong, maybe I was expecting it to be on the lines of Iraya and skin yoga, it has a strong fragrance which lingers a little while even after bath. Apart from the fragrance I think every thing else worked wonders. The soap lathers effectively, due to its good size the bar is easy to use and it leaves the skin clean and supple. I used it during winters and thus I had to immediately hydrate my skin with moisturizer. I assume, it would not require that for summers. Overall this is a good soap with natural ingredients and great smell (for those who like strong soapy fragrances)
Pros:
1. Lathers well
2. Big size bar easy to hold
3. Does not melt easily so will stay longer
4. leaves skin nourished and supple
5. Cleanses the skin
6. Strong fruity fragrance
Cons:
1. Expensive compared to its commercial counterparts
2. Soapy smell
The soap cleanses well but m put off by its soapy smell. I’d give it a 3/5.
Grandmas Garden Review

Grandma’s Garden Review
Name- Grandma’s Garden
Fragrance Type- Floral
Quanitity – 150 gms
Price – 300 inr.
Grandmas Garden claims of floral hues of purple and yellow with fresh fragrances, 100% Vegan and not tested on animals. The ingredients comprise cocoa butter, Vitamin E and Almond oil.
Packaging: The soap is a huge bar in beautiful pink and green colour plastic wrapped and in a transparent case. The packaging is beautiful.
Experience:
Grandma’s garden has a unique floral smell that is pleasing, the soapy smell that I was talking about is far less in this one. Just like the tropical harvest, Grandma’s Garden lathers effectively, due to its good size the bar is easy to use. It leaves my skin nourished and hydrated. However I did feel an immediate need to moisturize with an after bath lotion.
Pros:
1. Lathers well
2. Big size bar easy to hold
3. Does not melt easily so will stay longer
4. leaves skin nourished and hydrated
5. Cleanses the skin
6. Floral fragrance
Cons:
1. Expensive compared to its commercial counterparts
2. Need of moisturizing lotion after application.
The soap cleanses well but doesn’t moisturize enough for me. I’d give it a 3.5/5.
Spice Therapy

Spice Therapy – Review
Name- Spice Therapy
Fragrance Type- Woodsy
Quanitity – 150 gms
Price – 300 inr.
Spice therapy claims of a warm and spicy cinnamon sticks fragrance with calming qualities, 100% Vegan soap and not tested on animals. The ingredients comprise cocoa butter, Vitamin E oil and Grape Seed oil.
Packaging: The soap is a unique bar in cream with brown jelly like chips embedded inside, plastic wrapped and in a transparent case. The packaging is beautiful.
Experience:
True to its claims this soap has just the right amount of fragrance which is warm and soothing. I did not find the lingering soap like smell in this well ( happy me 🙂 ) Just like others this one too lathers effectively, due to its good size the bar is easy to use however it melts more as compared to the other two and the chip like jelly falls off while lathering which can be a turn of for some. The spice therapy soap leaves the skin clean and supple and smelling good. I did not need to moisturize immediately after bath with this one.
Pros:
1. Lathers well
2. Big size bar easy to hold
4. leaves skin nourished and moisturized
5. Cleanses the skin
6. Woody & warm cinnamon fragrance
Cons:
1. Expensive compared to its commercial counterparts
2. The soap melts faster than its counterparts and the jelly falls off during that.
All in all its a good Soap with nice smell. I’d give it a 4/5.
