Denim Skirt has always been associated with Spring and Summer and this year is no different! With the vintage style and 70’s fashion making a come-back, Denim skirts are becoming a rave this Summer and very rightly so. If you are looking at investing in one Summer staple outfit, I would say go for a chic denim skirt. Denim skirt being one of the hottest Summer fashion trends 2019 is also one very versatile outfit and is totally here to stay. While choosing work wear, Skirts are the first thing that come to mind since they look chic and are super comfortable. When shopping for perfect skirts, you need some as work wear and some as casual wear. Some of the best skirts to meet multiple needs are denim skirts. They started out in the 1960s when people cut jeans to create skirts. Since then, denim skirt styles have exploded. Now you can find them in form-fitting pencil varieties or more fun and comfortable skirts that flare at the bottom. Even button up skirts are available. Another reason denim skirts are so popular is you can restyle the same skirt differently by accessorizing properly. For example, wearing a casual shirt with the skirt can make it look casual. On the other hand, a simple thing like adding heels can make it appropriate work attire. Which is why I consider Denim skirt to be one of the most versatile summer clothing essentials! Denim skirts are famous for its casual look with lots of varieties from button down to ripped denim skirts. One way to go casual with Denim skirt is to pick a printed shirt or blouse over it.

Here I have paired a sleeveless leopard print shirt thrifted a long ago with my blue Denim skirt. To give it a really casual vibe I knotted the shirt just around the waist leaving lower two buttons open.
Two ways to wear Denim skirt
Going with the theme I have paired my brown fringe bag and Tan sandals with the printed shirt look. I have completed the look with a red lipstick and pretty mooch earrings.

For the Work wear or formal look with the same printed blouse and Denim skirt, I used a narrow belt to cinch the waist and give a sharp look. Denim skirt can easily work as office wear or formals when accessorized properly. For example a pair of high heels, a sleek belt and some matching earrings and you convert your casual denim skirt into formals.
Chic look – Denim skirt
Here I have tucked my printed shirt inside the skirt and cinched the waist with a narrow brown belt. I have kept my hair open and donned the over-sized black hoop earrings. Completing my look with a pair of Tan sandals, I am ready to rock the Summer at work. These over-sized hoop earrings are another one of my Summer fashion essentials as they go easily with both Indian and Western outfits.
