Style your Ethnic’s with Quirkiness ! Outfit of the Day – Traditional Kurtis

Outfit of the Day – Style your Ethnic Kurtis with Quirky accessories!

After getting lots of love from you guys for my first outfit post – Polka Dots, I am back with an ethnic outfit post today! I have mostly seen people wondering how to stay stylish with their ethnic garbs and how to strike a decent balance between Indo-western wear! I mostly opt for Indo-western whenever I am heading to a slightly Indian function or semi-formal occasions (which includes going to prayers, attending Ganesh Puja, visiting family friends and yes teaching my rec students! ) For me it is really important that I do not over-do the styling part, since the people with whom I am going to mingle should not consider me as an alien! (Yes I do have such weird thoughts about myself and others at times!) My point, how to be not-in-your-face Trendy in Indian Outfits? So for today’s outfit post, I have tried two of my ethnic kurti’s which are quirky that represents my personality in a way.

Ethnic Quirkiness – Look 1

Remember I told you about my online shopping experience, where I took this amazing pop pink color auto-rickshaw print BIBA kurti? Well, I choose to flaunt it at a recent do and paired it with jeans looking at the casualness of the occasion. I tried making this an Indo-western outfit! (pardon my shoes, my rain-gear is pathetic I know! But I still love those pretty bows!)

Auto-rickshaw and pink peppiness!

I took a multicolored satchel ( gift from my mom) to go with my already peppy kurti. Ankle-fit jeans and colored my lips bright pink with oriflame pop pink lipcolour (review coming soon!)

Adding a little more pink to the outfit were the pink studs I got from Colaba Causeway! I have applied only lakme eye-conic mascara and kajal for eye-makeup along with the oriflame pop pink shade.

Traditional outfit look-1 – Black Hand-work kurti

For my second look here, I was getting ready for society ganesh pooja. I have worn a simple kalidar black kurti ( from Libaaz) with traditional kutchchi hand work on the top. The best part about this kurti is that it has a shallow oval cut-out at the back.(Unfortunately I have not taken any back pictures to show you guys! 🙁 )

Traditional black kurti and ear-cuffs!

Pardon my simplicity, I have styled my kurti with only my potli/ bag earrings and petal ear-cuff’s. I totally wanted the kurti to be the center of attention!

These earrings I bought long back from a friend’s exhibition expo. I love the 3D look it gives and best part is it goes with both Indian and western outfit’s.

Along with the bag earrings, I tried on the silver oxidized petal ear-cuff’s. So these are my two basic Indo-western outfit look! Hope you liked them!! Do tell me your suggestions in comments.
