Outfit of the Day – Styling my Red Blazer for Summer
If you have gone through this year’s Spring Summer Trend updates, one thing that everyone is talking about is the love for colour. Vibrant colours associate so well with Spring that lately all the designers have taken upon themselves to bring them to us in various forms, from Blazers to skirts and Hats to slip-on’s Bold colours are selling like hot pancakes. Since I was too busy bringing up my little one, it was recently that I got down to go through the various summer trends that are catching up and one thing I noticed was Casual colourful Blazers. Blazers are now no more restricted to a formal outfit but rather pairing them up with your distressed denims or shorts makes up for a great Casual or Sport wear and I so loved this twist that I thought of giving it a try. Today’s post is about the current Summer trend!
I have got this Red Blazer from SBL last winter and I was wondering how to use it this year when I came across this years update and all I could think of was different ways to use this vibrant blazer for cute & comfy summer attire that’s way casual and wearable since I aint working anymore I am actually finding ways to use my formals in different ways ( New post coming up soon! but for now lets stick to this one.)
So this was when I was getting ready for my flight from Ahmedabad to Pune last month after my 6 month post natal sabbatical and I wanted something that was a day wear yet would be warm enough for the flight as well as cool enough for the Summer sun. I paired it with my distressed denims and a graphic tshirt. Cute and colourful right?
Considering this a linen based blazer its not that warm, also looks cute with my distressed denims. Since I was getting ready for a flight and carrying a baby along, a bright bold lipstick is all I added up to complete the look. Though I loved how this particular outfit made me look pretty quirky and cool. Its the bold colours I think that make up for the otherwise bland attire. I am missing a broad belt here for the lack of accessories at my Mom’s place and I promise to make it up in my upcoming post now that I am back! 🙂
