Work Wardrobe Essential – How to Style your Pencil Skirt!
Power Pencil Skirt has ruled the working Woman’s wardrobe since ages and has been unbeatable since then. Work wardrobe has dramatically evolved since past few years but the Pencil Skirt manages to maintain its peak position. Its the working woman’s wardrobe essential that you can’t do without. Trust me, Nothing beats a Woman wearing a sharp suit with a Pencil skirt, loaded with these two most deadliest weapons, she becomes invincible! A sharp tailored suit and a well fitted skirt, not only enhances your best assets but also give away the message that you know what you are doing and you are best at it. I have always been in awe of this particular work wear that is so workable, like literally. There is so much you can do with a pencil skirt that I can go to work with it that every single day of the year! However if not styled well work wear can get pretty boring and drag, which is why you need to find ways to glam up your work wardrobe and here is how you can do that! Bright colour Blazers
Use peppy colours well fitted Blazers to work up that sexy Black Pencil skirt of yours, just like I did. Take my word on it, you will feel totally sexy. Structured layering has been by far the best style hack and shall go a long way. Layer up your work wear with Bold Blazers, Bright scarves or sexy over-coats. STICK TO BASIC COLORS. Use contrasting colors but do not over do the colour blocking. You would not want to land up looking like a parrot at work. Pick boring colours like beige, Cream, Coffee, Maroon with Red, Lilac, Marsala and Mustard or ‘Camel’ as we call it these days. Stay off prints while using bright colour and use a subtle colour undershirt that does not take away the spotlight from your Blazer. Prefer matte look to glossy ones when playing with colours initially. You can always take it a notch higher once you are more confident.

Trench it Up!
Trench coats are fast becoming the most fashionable accessory of the year. Take your cue from celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Deepika Padukone to style your work wear with a beautiful long Trench coat that exceeds your skirt length. Go for earthy colours when pairing your trench coat with the Black skirt. Get colour co-ordinated and flaunt the two of the hottest trends of the year together.
Sweater with Pencil Skirt
Pair your Black pencil with a monogrammed sweater or a turtle neck to make a sexy winter work wear. You can throw in some black tights to keep you more warm in the chill winters.
Cinch it with a Peplum
Pair your Black Pencil Skirt with a beautiful Peplum top cinched at waist. Use a solid colour Top to work this one out and prefer stiffer textures that would bring out the structure of outfit well. Vintage Blouse
A sure shot feminine yet powerful statement piece are the Vintage Blouses with minimum details like a scarf bow or fashion tie can take your work wear fashion game a notch higher without much do. Pair them with your basic Pencil skirts and layer with a lovely coat. You are good to go!
Heels
Beautiful Shoes can take you a long way and when it comes to work wear, a pair of Shoes can make or Break your look. When in formals prefer solid colour heels without too much of Bling. But who says you have to wear black. Wear a sexy Stilettos or a Block Sandals to work with your pencil skirt and I am sure all eyes will be on you.
I was with my toddler when I did this shoot and these pretty Block Sandals with butterfly details from Dressberry were a real boon. They looked great and were super comfortable. They can be great for the long hours at work too!
