Fashion OOTD – Traditional Bhagalpuri Silk Saree Online from Sareez.com Review and material
Saree is one outfit that fit’s all and goes with almost any occasion, which is why I always like to invest in good sarees. Those of you who have earlier seen my DIY Saree post, know that I really love Sarees when it comes to attending any traditional event, even more than the Anarkali’s and Salwar Kameez. My only concern is that they have to be comfortable enough to carry. So when recently I came across this online portal Sareez.com, I could not stop myself from scrolling through the amazing collection they had. They literally have so many options from printed Sarees to Designer Sarees, Jamawar to Crush & Georgette, Velvet, Net & the most favorite Banarasi Silk Sarees.
I have never tried my hand on stiff sarees as I think I will look fat and I wont be able to carry it off, However so, this time I opted for a Bhagalpuri Silk Saree in Off-White and Amber Yellow with a Gold Border. The Sareez.com guys are so super quick in the delivery that I got my saree within 3-4 days of ordering. Also they have an amazing option of stitched blouses along with the saree without any additional cost! Can you believe that?? All I had to do is upload my measurements as per asked and lo Behold, they send a blouse as well. Here in Pune, getting a Blouse stitched is not only a task but a real expensive one. You would not imagine my pleasure when I opened the packet to see a Ready-to-wear saree with beaded fall and stitched blouse. Since I was not keeping well, I could not do a proper photo-shoot, nevertheless I wore the saree to a religious function and I got lots of compliments on that. Here is how it looked.

My Experience with the saree:
Most online brands have photo shopped pictures on their portals and when you actually receive the outfit, many times they are lighter in shade or dull in colour. However, the colour of the saree delivered was exactly the same as I had seen on the display pic. The material however was a little more stiff then expected. Maybe because the model was a skinny one and when I draped the saree It felt a little blown up on me.. However when I stepped out of the house I did get compliments on the saree so I am assuming its just me. The saree is quite comfortable to wear and is not heavy as expected, but the kind of drapes I am used to I prefer more skin hugging materials. The colour looks good on me and I assume would look good on all Indian skin tones. I have once given it for dry clean and the colour has not yet faded, so that’s a relief. As I mentioned earlier, I was not keeping well so I have not put into much make-up here, still I am liking the yellow reflecting on my skin 😉 All in all its a good Saree in this price and I would recommend it if you want a change from routine Georgette or chiffon sarees.
Hope you liked what I wore.. Keep posting in your comments and suggestions…
Till Then,
Take care & Keep It Stylish! 🙂
