As most of you would have already guessed by now, I was there in Mumbai for a day before I went ahead on my journey to Gujarat to enjoy the awesome Dandia festival of nine days there. If you still have not seen my navratri outfit posts, you can see them here.

So while some of you might already start judging me of jumping the bandwagon of celebrity crazed selfie freaks, I’d like to confess something here. I love taking pictures & preserving them as memory and this one is going to be one of those beautiful memories I’d love to have & share. I mean comon, how many times in your life do you get to click a picture with an insightful Tara Sharma?? ( I am not talking of Mumbaites here, they might as well have a celebrity neighbour! It’s common if you are staying in Mumbai! I too once had a celebrity neighbour and was immune to the starstruck-ness during my stay there! 😛 )

Tara Sharma was there at the Social Media Week Mumbai to share her experience as a Celebrity on Social Media Platform, her experience of The Tara Sharma Show and its success as a part of the workshop named ShowBiz. I was there for just a few hours and managed to catch up with few sessions including this one along with my shopping and train catching! ( bad grammar I know! phew!)

I’d say Tara looked gorgeous & was lovely enough to give great tip off’s on how social media can help you spread the word if used in the right way. According to her the “Content is the king” and “Content is going to live forever” This is what her late father had once told her and she is following the same till date. I totally agree. Along with tara there were other insightful people like Shakti Salgaonkar, Indu Mirani & Nathalia Kaur who shared their amazing experiences while discussing over how Social Media impacts Journalism, Celebrity Lives and much more. While we had a blast talking about all this stuff, I couldn’t resist myself from taking a selfie with Tara. ( considering how selfie conscious I am! )

Apart from that, I also attended “What do you need to build a career in Social Media” by Ashwath Ganesan and “How to be a black belt networker” by Sampath Iyengar. I truly enjoyed all the sessions and took away important learning’s, made new friends and live tweeted the event!

If many of you Bloggers are wondering by now, what is the use of attending such Social Media events for us Blogger?? I would like to tell you here, these events are not only for social media professionals but they help anyone who wants to create a social presence and satisfy their readers/ customers. Improving the quality of our content, being in touch with our readers, Valuing personal touch and quality more than the quantity of readers are few things that I personally learnt from this Event. And to think of it, I just attended two sessions out of a number of awesome sessions. I have made a mental note to attend the complete event the next time.
