Lakme Fashion Week 2012 highlights Vikram Phadnis comeback with his ethnic earthy collection. Vikram Phadnis has always shown detailed craftsmanship in all his collection by inducing gold-zari work and earthy colour, the “LAKME FASHION WEEK SUMMER-RESORT 2012” Collection was no different in terms of the grandeur and Royalty.
Vikram brought the whole Mugal-Era to life with his Gold-ivory coloured dramatic drapes beaded with antique gold sequins, lace, embroidery, Minimal jewellery and Egyptian empress inspired Head-gears. The creative use of lace in tall hair-styles, Nehru-collar jackets over sarees and churidars and Kurtis teamed up with heavily draped lehengas were the highlights of the collection. The richness of the texture and the quality of material were something to go for, making the silhouettes look princesses and empresses in his collection. Lets take a look!!
