Kurta Saree look – Use your Kurti as Blouse
Are you tired of wearing the same old blouse with your saree? Well one of the innovative ways to prep up your old cotton Saree is to style it with your Kurti. If you have checked out my earlier post about knotted kurta Blouse, you know already that using Kurta instead of Blouse has become a cool option these days.
So I wore my beige cotton Saree with a basic Black kurta instead of a regular Blouse. Since I wore the saree with a kurta, I draped it in the front pallu style.
A solid colour kurta can be paired with contrasting cotton saree to create a completely new look. You can also experiment with prints while you are at it. Only take care that the prints compliment each other and overall look co-ordinated.
Here I have aimed for a gothic look but you can always style it up differently and wear it for work or even a traditional function. In fact these days even ready made blouse patterns include a tunic style blouse. These are basically short kurti for Blouse.
Another way to work up a Kurta Saree would be to cinch it with a kamarbandh or waist-chain and accessorize with some tribal jewellery to work up for an event. A perfect Indo-western look!
