How to spice up your Anarkali Outfit with ethnic Jacket & some Bling
Hello Girls,
Today I am up with a yet another Outfit post that is so close to my heart. I am totally in awe of Traditional outfits and love experimenting on them, like mix & match and restyling. I have earlier used many of my mom’s saree to design a lehenga or Anarkali for myself. As they say, Old is Gold and Old can be renewed with few restyle tips. A free flowing plain Anarkali is my favorite amongst the traditional outfits as they are not only graceful and Elegant, but they can be styled in various ways. Moreover Anarkali is the only Indian maternity wear that fits me these days 😛 (not that I am complaining! )
Blue and Pink Anarkali
So this is a basic Royal Blue anarkali with a pop of Pink that I got stitched as my maternity wear in my last trimester. Anarkali’s are the best pregnancy outfits when it comes to Indian wear according to me as they are all loose and flowy from chest downwards and they do not need constant re-sizing as you proceed bulking up each week. Also since they are long without any cuts on sides, they do a great job at comfort without any embarrassment during pregnancy. I got this one stitched in my 6th month from a plain royal blue Georgette saree that I got in a fab deal, like really cheap. 😛
Ethnic Kurti -DIY OOTD
If you might have checked out my earlier post of kundan accessories, you might have got a glimpse of this outfit. I tried to jazz up the plain material by going for a Kutch work lace border at the hem and paired it up with this beautiful pink kutch work jacket I bought from my visit to Gujarat. Layering is the best thing during maternity as it takes away the concentration from your tummy and makes your body look more proportionate during pregnancy. The look is totally ethnic and apt for Summer. This year lfw collection was all about handicrafts, kutch work, mirror work and bright hand embroidered from Rajasthan and Gujarat and that’s what inspired me to get a little boho ethnic!

This can be one stylish Indian maternity wear for those who prefer traditional Indian wear during pregnancy. The best part about this outfit is, I can always swap the jacket for a pretty pink duppatta. Pearl and Kundan accessories, raspberry lipstick and a Pink Bag completes my look. Hope you like the look.
