OOTD – How to get perfect Boho look with a Blazer
Summers for me mean a pair of shorts, a funky Tee, vintage Sun glasses and a glass of lemonade with a dash of mint! 🙂 A sure shot recipe to cool me down instantly even in the burning hot weather. Ripped, destroyed and cut-out denims have been here since quite some time and were kinda rage this summer. Well when I had done the shoot it was end of summer and start of monsoon (yes m pretty late these days) but I kind of like the timing since these shorts are actually the most versatile piece of outfit I have ever had. I have been literally wearing them everywhere and even during monsoons, as I prefer staying light and less messy. I follow the simple logic, the less clothes you were, the less drenched you are. Today, I have tried to put together a bohemian look with a pair of ripped shorts, a tank top, fringed bag and a bold red blazer. Basically Its about fusing all the major fashion trends of year 2016 –> destroyed denims, nautical stripes, bold colours and fringed accessories.

A decent pair of shorts is one wardrobe essential for both Men & Women and it goes without saying that if you are planning a day trip or weekend getaway with minimal luggage, these are your best friends. Ever Since I have got these high waisted destroyed denims shorts in dark black from Stalkbuylove, I am totally in love with them and I don them almost everywhere, even to our grocery store. (Don’t care what the grocery wala is thinking! ) Aiming for a Boho- casual look, I donned this Nautical striped T-shirt with my denim shorts and colour-blocked it with a Red Blazer.

I somehow got the coachella vibe while I was shooting for this particular outfit post and with that fringe bag you can not totally blame me right? The shoes are pretty basic sneakers with plastic soles that are perfect for running around (behind my toddler) and the rains 🙂 For the right kind of bohemian look the trick is to go out of the box without trying too much. If you are not confident enough do not do all the things all at once. Go for simple trends like just a bandana, just a fringe back and then when you feel you have played the boho trick well enough you can take things a notch higher every-time. I am more of a simple dresses and going all boho is somehow not my cup of tea. So I have stuck to a basic look with a dash of bohemian vibe.

How to style blazer with shorts
Some people would consider it strange to combine a Blazer with Shorts but I say Why not? In fact, by far this one has been my most spiced up outfit styling and I quite like the outcome. Don’t you? Please do not forget to tell me what you think in the comments below. However styling a blazer with shorts is quite tricky, there are few things that one has to keep in mind.
Summer Special Blazer & Shorts
Firstly the cut of the blazer, a completely formal blazer that goes with your suit is not what you would like to pair with a casual pair of shorts. Look for blazer that are sleek and ends just about where your shirt or t-shirt does. Also prefer a Bold colour that would stand out rather than some dull colour that suppresses the vibrancy of your look. And lastly steer clear of big buttons, jazzy lapels or elbow patched or cut-out sleeved blazers. Idea is it should not overshadow your shorts.
