Navratri Colour for Day-2 – Green
Navratri Colours of the year 2017 are out already and I have already missed out on posting my Day-1 look with Yellow Colour, however Day-2 colour is the gorgeous Green and today’s Navratri Outfit post is all about going Green! Even though we love to dress up in our ethnic best during the nine Nights of Navratra, there are days we do not get time to wear our favourite Chaniya choli. What’s more is some days you would just want to head to your Office in a festive look. Today’s look is all about making your Work-wear festive enough for the Navratri. Style your simple office wear kurta in a festive way for the Navratri festival, you can probably head to garba directly from office. Keeping the colour of the day in mind I have styled my basic green kurta in an ethnic look for the Navratri night. Oh and by the way, if you guys want to know the latest Navratri fashion trends and different chaniya choli looks to try for the nine garba nights, don’t forget to check out our earlier posts on Navratri fashion.
Festive Workwear
Here I have donned a basic Green kurta with Red Palazzo pants and an ethnic red mirror work dupatta that I got from gujarat. You can use a bandhani or phulkari dupatta also for a similar look.
I have accessorised my look with the traditional Navratri jewelry. I have used a german silver temple jewelry neckpiece in chokar style with a similar oxidized long neck-lace and some colourful bangles. To focus on the statement neck-pieces I decided to wear simple bali in ears.
For an added effect you can don the duppata over-head like this to complete your ethnic look.
Navratri Jewelry
Ethnic German Silver Jewlery, Temple Jewelry, Oxidized jewelry, Tribal jewerly, Cowrie Shell jewlery, pompom jewelry, afghani jewelry are some of the different types of jewellery trends of Navratri 2017. Temple Jewlry is hugely popular this year along with Afghani jewelry with colourful minakari work.
Navratri Makeup
Along with Jewellery Navratri is also a time to deck up in some glamourous makeup. Trending Hair-styles this year would be twisted buns, messy buns, fishtail braids, juda, sock bun, middle parted hair with maang tikka and such ethnic updo. Mostly women prefer to tie the hair up so that they can play garba with ease and there are no fly-aways once you start drenching in sweat post your garba work-out.
I have opted for a side twist hair-style with hair secured back tightly in a pony tail. I have put fancy bobby pins to secure my twisted hair on the back.
For the makeup I have done light smokey eyes with a hint of sea green, black eye-liner, mascara, filled my brows with a dark brown eye-shadow and completed the look with red lipstick and a red bindi.
The details of makeup break-up along with products used is up on my instagram handle. Do not forget to stop by and like. So this is my Navratri look for the day 2 for a festive Work-wear. Stay tuned for some more awesomeness coming your way all these nine days.
Happy Navratri Guys!
