Festive Outfit of the Day- Anarkali’s for Diwali 2014
Festive season is round the corner! And while all of us are gearing up for the festivities, I try keeping upto my promise to you all, that I will be coming up with few outfit post for festive season!! Festivals require a lots of glitz and glamour yet in a traditional way. I generally opt for ethnics that are comfortable yet trendy during festival times! Which in now way means I steer clear from Sareees! I do wear saree but the simple comfy ones! When it comes to traditional, most important is how you carry them and the colour combination. I mostly opt for colours that compliment my skin tone like pink, red,wine red, white & black! ( Yes I do wear black’s and a lot of them! For those who do not wear black during festivities can opt for other darker shades like Maroon, bottle green and purple)

So here I come with my favourite 3 anarkalis for this festive season! All these three Anarkali are of previous years! But I am sure with the right bling and accessories, I can prep them up for the festive look! I totally love this Red number for its colour and that broad parsi work border! There was a time when Parsi work borders were a rave and I had got myself this Anarkali then. The ethnic embroidery still manages to charm the on-lookers and as many times I have donned this number, I have been asked where did i get it from? So this manages to be the number one in my festive traditional outfit collection! 😉

White and Red Anarkali – Festive outfit of the day!
Up next in the list of my festive collection is this gorgeous white net Anarkali that I got from a boutique in Mumbai! It is from 2011 but it is totally a timeless piece in my collection! I love this one again for its colour and its material! The texture is smooth, it gives a great fall..I actually feel like a princess in a ball gown when I don it! The picture is not that clear which is why one cant identify the numerous kali’s.

I mostly style this one with a chunky white or black stone statement neck-piece.( since it has a shallow plunge neck-line!) I keep the earrings simple. White floral wedges and I am good to go!

Red and black anarkali
This one of my earliest most creations!! This black velvet and red net anarkali was something I desinged long ago and still it is one of my best dresses. As you can see..Red is amongst my favored colours. And black looks great on me! ( for the sole fact that it makes you look slim! :P) This high-low hem-line was a new concept then.

I have used embroidery patches and lace borders to prep up the outfit. The black wood bangles and black and diamond Victoria danglers are from SIA. So here are my favorite Anarkali outfit’s for the festive season!! I am totally gearing up my wardrobe this year and coming up with new outfit’s for you all everyday!!
