Outfit of the day – Dungarees or Overalls
One look at the fall’s fashion and one can easily gauge how 70’s have become a huge Trend this year. In fact Vintage outfits have become the Autumn/fall staple since past few years. Everything ranging from gum boots, Trench coats, blanket coats, leather pants, Flare jeans, Suspenders and Dungarees, all shout out 70’s big time. Among all these, the most in vogue are the Dungarees or Overalls. Dungarees, Suspenders and Overalls have been trending on the International fashion platform since quite a long time. But Ever since Andy was seen wearing Onsie’s in the Big Boss house, they have come in vogue in India as well. Those of you following the blog already know that I am a huge fan of Dungarees. They not only look super classy but also are very comfortable and versatile. A cute pair of Dungaree can be styled differently as per your mood into either work-wear or casual look or even party look.
Today I have tried a Vintage Dungaree look pairing it with a plaid shirt to make an amazing office wear. I just love how this buttoned up shirt gives a retro effect to the entire ensemble. Post pregnancy, these Dungarees are super comfortable for me to wear as they are great for running around and carrying my baby becomes more comfortable in this outfit. Also, I can easily tuck in emergency stuff in the side pockets which makes these Dungarees my favorite on the go outfit.
Winters are full on in Pune these days and I am making sure, I step out completely covered these days to stay away from cold. These Dungarees prove to be a great fall outfit for me as they are of thick suede material. Dungarees come in various winter friendly material such as fleece, corduroy & chambray making them a great pick for Winters. Even Denim Dungarees can be a great Winter outfit.
Best thing about Dungarees is that they not only spell vintage but are also the most fashionable outfit for Winters. I am so much in love with this particular outfit that I have already planned a matching mom and daughter dungaree look with my little one! 😛 Aint that cute?
I have tried to give it a sleek look by accessorizing it with nerd glasses, mouse peep toe shoes and a lavie bag. (Psst Stay tuned for giveaway!)
