How to make midriff top from a regular Shirt?
The Crop Top or Midriff Top has been around for almost four years now. I still remember my first ever crop top photoshoot of one of my StalkBuyLove reviews when I had just delivered Anayah (even before she was a month old), being a new mommy and with my pregnancy scars, I was a little intimidated by showing off my midriff in a cropped top but it turned out that I got a lot of appreciation for the look. A crop top with high waist palazzo is a great trick to show off your midriff without actually showing your belly! 😛

Having said that, I really love these cute mid-riff tops. Now-a-days however a new trend has cropped(pun intended!), where Sarees are styled with collared crop top or Crop shirt as they are famously called. Well, I saw few of my Blogger fans styling their crop Shirt look and I really wanted to give it a try! However I have taken a “No buying New” oath for 2019 and I wanna stick to my Outfit restyling.

I want to use my existing capsule wardrobe as much as possible with different multipurpose dress styling. This not only will save my pocket but also acts as my little contribution to the sustainable fashion.
DIY Midriff Top
Which is why I came up with this DIY Cropshirt idea where I convert my regular Shirt into a collared crop top without sew. I wore my regular shirt with palazzo pants keeping the lower two buttons unbuttoned.
Pink Midriff Top
Then I tucked in the lower hem of my shirt inside my sports bra or fitted camisole if you have one from all sides. Then forming a nice pleat on all sides press the shirt bottom and your crop shirt is ready. A detailed youtube video for you guys is linked below.

I accessorized my shirt collar with a bridal brooch that I got from Confusion fashion accessories. I completed my look with matching pink sneakers and a maroon palazzo. Midriff tops look great with everything as such but crop top and palazzo pants is a deadly combination that never goes wrong.

I have accessorized with statement brooch and stylish triangular studs in gold. A retro winged eyeliner and matching plum gloss from sephora mix and mingle collection completed my look.
