Saree is one outfit that’s never going out of trend. Be it small family function or a major event like wedding, Saree can always come to your rescue, unless it’s not too difficult to handle! Of course, you would not want to trip and fall every few seconds. Recently I was looking for a decent saree to wear on not-so-elaborate functions, one that is comfortable yet elegant. After going over almost n numbers of saree trials in various shops, I just couldn’t find the right one that would fit my bill and pocket too..:P
Finally I decided to design one for myself.. Yea I know, you are wondering how do we design a saree? Well there is a lot you can do with materials and create your own designer Saree.. Printed Georgette with rich brocade or velvet Lace with chiffon or Crepe, Silk with Velvet and prep it up with beautiful lace borders… Voila!! There you have your brand new saree.
DIY – Green Lace Saree
This one is a simple lace saree. I bought these lace material of six meters, this lace is a shimmer lace. I got it dyed in my choice of emerald green. Since I wanted it to be a comfortable and clutter-free, I did not mix it with any other material or print, neither did I add a border. I just matched it up with a shiny gold blouse and accessorized it with gold accessories.

I also tried on some preppy green liquid eye-liner & pop pink lip lacquer. I completed my look with chaand baali’s and statement neck-piece.
