This is one Haute Couture collection that every women in the world waits for with baited breath, Christian Dior Haute Couture Autum Winter Collection for the year 2012-13. The newly appointed creative director for Christian Dior, Raf Simons debuted this year for the Brand, giving more than expected for Dior. All the collection was exquisite and excellent with pastels and Dark Hues both forming a Classy and Elegant Bustier dresses that looked like modern day Ball-dress.
Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers opinionated, “It was what you hoped for and more – it was such a beautiful homage to Dior, a mix of the modern, clean and unexpected with a real lightness of touch,”
Playing with volume and proportion created something that reminded us of ball gowns. Delicately embroidered in floral motifs and paired with slim pants, gave them a new modern day look.
Pointed Shoes, mostly from Christian Louboutin’s Capsule Collection 2012 were prominent giving the whole feminine couture collection an edgy look.
Ciggerate trousers beneath Bustier dresses and Pointed shoes with reinforced Bra-cups gave a subtle nod to John Galliano, known for his fondness for enhanced bossom look
The show started with Black Tuxedo and “the Bar” jacket inspired outfits, which later took turn to more feminine collection
Vibrant colours as Red and Yellow were used for the full length Bustier strapless gowns inspired by Ball-room dresses.
Pastel Pink in two different style the Pockets and Bustier 70’s styled and more feminine 80’s
Bi-polar dresses covered in one shade of beadwork at the front and another at the back looked to be a new hallmark for the house.
The 70’s Inspired Modern day ball-room gown.. I love the Pointed shoes..
Mini ball bustier gown with tulle paired up with slim pants and Pointed louboutins viz-a-viz Feminine flowy gown.. The mixture of softer feminine gowns with red-pouts, neon make-up and pointed shoes gave balance to the overall collection.
Tuxedo inspired outfits..P.S: The tweaked up version of pointy shoes and metal belts give a futuristic look to it..
“I feel good,”is what designer Raf Simons said after his debut Christian Dior Haute Couture collection.
