How to wear printed palazzo pants in different ways!
Palazzo pants is one trend that’s not going anywhere! With its roots way back in 30’s & 60’s these wide legged trousers are a modern Girl’s Best friend, giving her the three best things of the fashion world – Sense of Style, Comfort of wear & Versatile looks! Indian women at large prefer things that can be worn both casually & traditionally as we are one species that can instantly shift from the modern day working women/ college girl to the stunningly gorgeous Desi Diva and we love both our avatars dearly and wouldn’t want to give up on either one! (Neither role wise, nor outfit wise 😉 ) The only hurdle in this role shifting is the outfit part. It becomes tedious to change from work outfit to a traditional one when attending pooja or a function right after college or Work. I always look for outfits that can work both as Work-wear and Traditional-wear which would save me a lot of time to come home and change for evening pooja or prayers, and Palazzo pants is just that! I am always on the lookout as to how to wear palazzo pants differently. Recently I have got this light cotton tie-dye printed palazzo pants that can easily be transformed from casual or work wear to traditional or ethnic outfit in a jiffy! Of lately I have been wearing these comfy wide legged trousers almost everywhere, since they are extremely easy to wear, super comfortable, look flattering on all body types and gives the freedom of pants with style of a skirt. Here are the three ways I have been styling them lately!
Casual look or Work Wear!
I prefer staying clutter-free at work and same goes for day time shopping or a short outing with the baby. These palazzo pants paired with a cute crop top t-shirt gives me just that! A clutter free yet stylish look pairing just two garments together. Its easy to carry around and with some chunky accessories and nice heels its a sure shot stunner!
casual look
My ONLY graphic print crop Tee, printed palazzo, SBL Pink Backpack & Denim loafers and I am dressed up for Work! This can be a great college wear as well, you can perk up your style with chunky bracelets and statment neck-piece. Use a nautical striped white or blue crop top with this one to give a chic vibe.
Resort wear
Given its flowy structure and the breezy comfort, Palazzo pants can become a great beach/resort where when you just want to walk by the beach. Here I paired up a statement silver neck-piece and pink shoes to make it a lovely resort wear. Super comfortable to sit by the pool and read a book or just chill out!

Traditional look or Ethnic Wear!
Long straight fit ethnic Kurta, printed palazzo pants and a statement neck-piece! Nothing beats this killing combination when it comes to Ethnic look. I have been pairing my palazzo’s with so many straight fit kurti’s these days, they make for a new outfit altogether. They have become the new age leggings and much more stylish and comfortable!

I have completed my traditional look with a red lipstick, basic eyeliner and tribal style hand embroidered chappals!

Indo-western wear or Indian Punk look!
Remember those semi transparent chikankari kurtas that were once famous for putting up an indie look over your jeans from our college days? Well I always loved the soft textures and beautiful self printed kurtas and I still have one stashed somewhere in my closet for a rainy day! When I have nothing new to wear (which I always do 😉 ) or when I am bored of routine, I bring out such timeless pieces from my wardrobe and pair them up for an Indian Punk look! (that’s what I love to call it, basically its Indo-western)

So here is my loose fitting lucknowi chickankari kurta that I normally pair with my denims, paired up with this blue tye-dye Palazzo and an ethnic mirror work duppata (thrifted from street markets in Gujarat!)

That completes my three different ways to style a single outfit, a printed palazzo pants. These comfy wide legged trousers can easily switch from Day wear to evening wear or work to party outfit. You can try pairing fitted shirts, tank tops, blouses for more spice in your wardrobe.
