Alia Bhatt’s Fashion and Style for Student of the Year Promotions and Screening
The newbie actress and Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Alia Bhatt seems to be following the fashion trend closely. She has been a great treat to watch during all the promotional events for her latest film “Student of the Year”. Her wardrobe in the movie is something we can create a new blog-post altogether however, here we shall be talking about her off-screen appearances and her personal style. She seems to be a great fan of fun and peppy short numbers, it suits her petite figure as well.

First off I was blown by Alia’s LBD’s which came with a little quirk. She choose to contrast the Black with beige pumps and vice-a-versa. The next time she choose to pep-up the dresses with a pop of pink. I loved those pink Strappy sandals that she wore. These promotional appearances marked the beginning of Alia Bhatt’s journey as a source of celebrity fashion inspiration.

Next up on the Trend-o-meter were Peplum’s. Alia sported Short Peplum dresses and Peplum skirts both quite gracefully. However, what caught my interest here too were her sexy Black pumps from Steve Madden and her Black louboutin’s. Bhatt’s movie making money is surely going into Shoes is what I can predict with these pictures 😉 We have no Complains whatsoever.

Since the movie potrays Alia as the Indian “Gossip Girl” version, the one thing Alia made sure to stick to, were Over-all’s. Her school-girl Blazer was the first thing that made her comparison with the original “Gossip girl” Blair Waldorf as we have posted earlier. I loved her Block-heels in that attire. The white Blazer that she choose over her floral short dress made her look very pretty. And those Orange pumps stood out in that dull blue dress.

Fun printed short skirts were the next thing on Alia’s fashion look-book. I just loved the way she pulled of the aztec printed skirt, while still looking pretty and cute. This time we saw her repeating her shoes. Finally, she doesn’t have a shoe factory relief!!! hah!

While talking of skirts, how could one miss this formal red skirt with a structured hem-line. What added to the looks were those mustard yellow shoes!

Next up on our trend-o-meter is Alia Bhatt’s forever21 sheer pallazo’s that she wore with her shorts. Peeking out from her blue pallazo’s is the reason for skipping short number’s these times. The evident bandage says it all.

Next up in Fashion round-up are alia’s gorgeous Barbie-frocks. The pink and golden tulle skirt frock she wore at PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2012 and the Black voluminous frock with Alexander McQueen clutch and black louboutin’s that she flaunted on Big B’s birthday bash were one-of-her-kind. I think only she can carry them off so well apart from Katrina.

Speaking of Barbie reminded me of these pretty white frocks that Alia sported. I just fell in love with the off-shoulder lace number. Love the way she choose to pop it up with red and orange shoes, I hate when young pple go straight for black’s to go with a white number. This girl dares to experiment!!

Alia has a great sense of fashion and that we can see from the above pictures, but what was unknown is that she could carry off a full length gown with such aplomb just like she carries her short-number’s.

However she was spotted in full lengh flowy gown’s thrice during her SOTY promotions, Once during the show “front row with Anupama Chopra”, next on the sets of KBC and later in a delhi promotional event. Any favourites here?? I think I would go for the Dehli event one!

Last but not the least on our trend-o-meter were Alia’s shimmer dresses. One she sported during Vogue’s anniversary bash and other was on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Ja. While I loved the Black one she wore at Vogue, I am not sure I can say the same about the other one. It was too much a bling for me and I guess for her too.
