Fashion Wear Remix – 3 Ways to Restyle your Old palazzo pants into New Outfit!
Fashion doesn’t necessarily meaning buying a truck-load of trendy outfits that you would hardly repeat. Its about using your creativity to renew and restyle your old outfits! Repeating an outfit is no more an offense in the fashion World, It was never supposed to be. I believe It’s just something the brands and fashion industry came up to sell more of their clothes. Its time we put away with shaming outfit repeating when the likes of Kate Middleton have taken to Style Repeat and Remix. Your clothes speak less of your status and more of how much you care about the environment, hard earned money and about your creativity to look good. Its about how much you care to renew what you already have rather than investing into a certain designer’s stylish version!
Time and again I have talked about how Palazzo is the most versatile outfit this year. There are ample of statement garments already in your wardrobe that could be styled differently every time. Say a bold cardigan, a chic skirt or a pair of Denims. I will keep posting about them, but today let the Wide legged Palazzo Pants shine! 😉
Look 1 – Crochet Top, layering & Palazzo
Palazzo pants work great with Tanks and loose fitting tops likewise. A little bit of layering can go a long way with them. The first look is all about layering. Here I have paired a Crochet top, a Black Camisole/ Tank and a printed Scarf with this Turquoise Blue Palazzo. I love the colour of these Broad Palazzos and since its Solid, its easier to style them for both Indian & western look. This particular style can be a great Work wear.
This one is a sort of Indo-western look where you can use fancy Tunics, Kurtis, Blouse with your Palazzo pants and recreate a similar style.
Style Tip 1
Use Layering and Statement Accessories to outshine your old garments. I have used these reflector sunglasses and the star print scarf to beautify this simple look.
Look 2 – Indian Ethnic Dress
We being Indian can make anything a traditional wear from tunics to tops and palazzo to Skirts. With the right kind of styling you can switch between work and functions by styling a Western look into Traditional one or vice-versa. Palazzo pants are the easiest way to do that. Pull out an ethnic kurta from your closet and match it up with a duppata and you are ready to rock your wide legged bottoms into a proper Indian Salwar Kameez.
Style Tip 2
Use Makeup as your tool to look different in the same outfit. While going for an Indian look I went all out on makeup using a turquoise blue eyeliner pencil, a pink pout and a matching blue bindi. This refreshing summer makeup helped me look different even in the same outfit.
A good makeup can effectively take your Day to look Night by completely transforming you. Like from Neutral palette to Smokey eyes or Matte look to Glitter eye-shadows.
Look 3 – Get Quirky or Go Boho
One of the most sought after looks of the year are Bohemian or Cute Quirky. You can easily transform your boring old outfits into new by aiming for one such look. Pair your flowy palazzo pants with a croptop or bralet and add a cape-shrug over it, accessorize yourself with some tribal jewelry and you are ready to rock your Boho look.
Another way to completely restyle your solid colour palazzo pants is to go for a resort look. Throw in a quirky print Summer top, add a fun hairstyle and stutter those candy wedges and you are ready for a Beach holiday in a jiffy. This is how I styled my palazzo pants into a Quirky Beach look.
Style Tip 3
Keep changing your hairstyle when you go for recreating different looks of same dress. This will give a fresh appeal to your outfit and would not make it to obvious that you have repeated the same outfit. As you can see I have changed my hairstyle in all of the three looks.
These are very simple tips to go from Ethnic to Western or take your look from Day to Night. By just styling differently I have done a Work wear, a Traditional look and a Resort wear or Holiday look with these Palazzo pants. You can try other options using your creativity and turn any old outfit into new and keep repeating it! Because Repeating is Trendy!
