Navratri Fashion Trends 2018/ 2019
My most favorite festival of the year is round the corner and I am super excited for the same. Navratri is one festival where I get to flaunt my traditional and ethnic collection stocked throughout the year. Navratri ethnic outfit ideas for the 10 days of Garba are going to be the hottest topic of discussion. Every year Navratri fashion keeps evolving along with the colours of the year. This year also we will witness certain path-breaking Navratri fashion trends in sync with the traditional attire.

One of them will be summer florals in riot of colours. Floral lehenga choli, floral applique lehengas , multicolour ghagras are trending this year and will be seen quite a lot in the Navratri. These are huge kalidaar ghagra that not only look pretty but are super comfortable while you twirl around to the garba tunes.

Here I am wearing one of my yellow floral ghagra bought from Baroda with a similar multicolour yellow and orange choli. Going with the colourful vibe, I have paired the complete look with a multi-coloured lehriya bandhani dupatta.

Using Mix and match of colours, materials and prints is one of the high points of this festival and this year navratri fashion will be all about experimenting. Matching print over print is what I have done here with an embroidered choli, a floral print ghagra and lehriya bandhani dupatta. I love how the complete look has turned out to be so vibrant and lively and totally ethnic.

I have styled my look with colorful pompom jewellery, yellow jhumkas and matching bangles. For the hairstyle I have done an updo with front hair twisted in small plaits to give a messy bun look. It is important to have a hairstyle that will keep your hair in place for the garba and so updo is my best bet. It looks decent and keeps my fraying hair in place.

For the Navratri makeup look, I have done smokey eyes and pink lipstick. I have completed the look with colourful bindi on forehead and corners of eyes to give a folk touch to the outfit.

Another one of Navratri fashion trends this year is the layered lehenga in contrasting colours. Not only it has vibrant colours but also has a huge contrasting colour bottom panel to give a two layered effect.
