I am back with another swag look with my Cotton Saree and this time its the “Experimental look”! You heard me right, a cotton saree has endless styling possibilities and one of them is the Jacket Saree Style. The Jacket Saree has taken front stage since past few years now, all thanks to Designers like Manish Malhotra, Anju Modi and Anamika Khanna who pioneered in the Jacket Saree trend. Also the fact that wearing a Winter jacket with saree serves dual purpose of Style and Warmth makes this look a winner for Winter fashion.

Style your simple cotton Saree this winter by wearing a jacket over it and you are ready to rock your experimental look! This look stands out not only for its swag but strangely enough it packs in a lot of power with that jacket or Coat which is why it can be a great Work outfit as well.

Jacket saree
This bell sleeved cotton jacket or long cape had actually come with a kurta and it went so well with the saree that I decided to give it a try. I am wearing the jacket over the saree pallu as a trench coat.
Jacket Saree Trend
If you can see the picture, no where the blouse is to be seen. So you can either wear a spagetti and skip the blouse totally to wear the jacket as blouse or you can wear a simple sleeveless blouse underneath so that the saree pinning can be more proper and prime.

As discussed earlier, this look is a powerful look and so I decided to go with a severe updo hairstyle. You should remember when wearing the jacket saree, your neck and collar area has to be the center of attention and you can in no way leave your hair loose and take the spotlight away!

Since the hair is out of the way, you can sport long chandelier earrings to bring a little symmetry to your severe look or opt for out and out studs.

For the makeup I decided to stick to burgundy red lipstick and a cherry pink blush. Yup no eyeliner, no eye makeup. Same reason, I did not want to overdo and take the focus away from the statement jacket.
