Summer fashion Trend – Wrap around Skirt and Pompom Sandals
Today’s Summer Look is one of my favorites – a wrap around skirt. I have always been a fan of comfort with style and wrap around give me just that. I have in all 4 wrap around skirts, 2 short and 2 long in my wardrobe all thrift-ed from local fleas in Gujarat and Goa! The fact that a wrap around skirt is great for easy breezy Summer layering is a plus!

This blue ethnic beauty is from my last trip to goa, I totally love the elephant kalamkari printed cotton material. It has a soothing colour and cooling effect, best for summers.

Going with the bright hues I am pairing the skirt with a neon yellow tank top that I mostly use as a under top or with shorts as a beach-wear. The skirt being wrap around I have pulled it up above waist and thrown in my favorite tan shrug thrifted from Mumbai two years ago, I guess.

I have completed the look by accessorizing with pompom tie-up sandals and pompom chain as neck-piece. Some colorful reflective sunglasses to beat the summer and my Summer look is complete.

Summer Layering Tips
Layering in Summer can be cool, if you do it smartly. For me there are three pointers for Summer layering. 1) Use sheer tops over solid ones, like I have used a cut-out designed shrug for layering a solid tank top. 2) Get rid of long sleeves – Its summer and you do not need to get bull-dozed by too much of clothing. Summer layering should be breezy and comfortable, not structured and covering you up. Use sleeveless capes, free-style ponchos or kimonos during summer season. 3) Keep it Short – To keep it casual and Summery, best thing is to keep your outfit short and your layering minimal. So if you are wearing a shrug, do not overdo by wearing your Boots (keep them for fall) rather use gladiators or tie-ups instead.

They will not only accentuate your legs but also make for a quirky accessory to totally give that pop of colour required for the Summer season.

Keeping up with the vibrant look, I did a rainbow colour eye makeup on the eyes using my sleek i-divine snapshots palette and indigo blue revlon dramagel eye-liner.

That completes my Summer look for today.
