Indian Fashion Blogger Tips to rock Androgynous Style!
Androgyny has always been associated with evolving genderless society where in there are no fashion sterotypes dedicated to Men or Women. Pet peve of protestors and banner holders, Androgyny has slowly made place into contemeporary fashion with its own signature style. Apart from its popularity amongst the fashion lovers, Androgynous fashion is also about being Casual and fun! Be it Sweatshirts or those Boyfriend jeans, an androgynous look is sure to give you an edge over others and if styled right anyone can rock this genre fearlessly. I am generally a very safe person when it comes to fashion, Skirts and Kurtas are my favourites, which is why I wanted to break the norms and go out and experiment with my look. If you are also a novice in this area and skeptical to try such look, I have some special tips for you to start with. So here is my try at Androgynous look and some fashion essentials that will help you get started with the Casual Androgynous Wardrobe!
Androgynous outfits are quite popular amongst many International fashion Bloggers both Male and Female, even in India you can see fashion Bloggers trying this style out one piece at a time. Which is exactly what I did, I went real gentle and casual with the whole look and paired up my ripped boyfriend denims (gender neutral) with a crisp white button down formal shirt and layered it up with a loose geometric clothing (fringe shrug)!
To keep the casual vibe going and add up a touch of feminity, I added a layered charm necklace and a dark maroon lipstick helped me to stick to the gothic punk look. This look is a mixture of sporty casual and edges on gothic androgynous. I left my hair open and my current semi-straight semi-wavy hair looked just perfect with this outfit!

Boyfriend jeans are super comfy and super Tomboyish and they make up for a great Androgynous wardrobe. You can pair it up with a hoodie or sweatshirt and make up for an amazing sporty attire.
Menswear Watch
An oversized analogue watch is one of the simplest way to kick start your sports wardrobe. Get a chunky menswatch by raiding your Dad’s or boyfriends wardrobe and you are ready to pull togather an edgy look.
Geometric clothing, Long shrug or Hoodie
One of the most gender neutral piece of clothing has to be a long shrug or Hoodie. You can share it with your Man and layer it up with your favourite pair of boyfriend jeans and basic tshirt and you are good to go.
Converse Sneakers
Converse are yet again the most casual gender neutral shoes that can go with almost anything, be it a skirt or Denims. They also make up for a nice sporty look.

Jackets and Blazers cut out for a sure shot androgynous attire. Pair it with a button-down shirt and bow-tie or layer them with a basic tshirt and boyfriend jeans. In fact Trench-coats will make up for an amazing monsoon gear as well!

Don up a fedora to look like a Gentleman! A striped shirt, Androgynous Ranch hat and Bell bottom pants this cowgirl attire is the mother of all Androgynous looks ever!

Formal Dress shirt is one of the Must haves of Androgynous Wardrobe. There is so much that you can do with just a basic white shirt.
Wool or Suede
Get some Suede boots or a Wool muffler and start off your own cross-over wardrobe.
Punk Gothic makeup
Dark lips, nude lips, smokey eyes or no makeup at all. Experiment with your looks when you are aiming at Androgynous. Remember this is the time to steer clear from the Pinks and Reds and try out all those gaudy shades that you do not normally prefer wearing. Get creative and flaunt your new aquired fashion skills.
