5 Must-have’s in your wardrobe this Winter Fall 2014
It is that time of the year where your talcum powder is replaced by Body lotion and mini skirts are replaced by over-all’s! Yup, Winter is here knocking at our doors and how?? However, chilly Winter’s noway mean that we forget about fashion! No! In fact, it’s the other way round, Winter is quite Voguish! We can look as good as ever even while we protect over selves from the winds, which is why I have come up with major fall trends that are going to rock the Autumn leaves and find a place in every fashionista’s wardrobe, especially mine 😉 So are you guys geared up for a truly Hot Winter this year? Just take a look at the top 5 must-have for Winter 2014 and you just might 🙂
1.) Must-have “Below Knee Boots”
Boots are the most sexiest part of Winter Wardrobe. I totally jump on the thought of Winter just reminiscing how hot I shall look with those leather boots on with my prettiest dress! Boots have become a rage this year at all the international fashion shows, be it Givenchy, Burberry, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton or Valentino, Sleek sexy boots are a staple of their Fall Winter Collection 2014. This year it’s all about Below the knee Boots, long and sexy in glazing leather and popping colors. Metal accessorized Boots with buckles & Spikes and shoe-lace tied Boots are a major hit on the international runways.
2.) Must-have “Faux Fur Coats & Everything Fur”
Another Must-have this Winter are Furs! Furs in all forms, Fur Coat, Fur Jackets, Fur dress, Fur Boots are a total rage this year. All the international Fashion Week Runway Collection of Top designers like Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, Burberry at the New York Fashion Week showcased Voluminous Faux Fur in Vibrant colors in form of Coats, Vests, Jackets, Head-gears. Furs in animal print and Digital prints are really catching up the fashion scene this year!
3.) Vintage Coats:
This year was all about reviving the retro. Vintage was high during all the seasons, be it crop’s for summers or pallazzo pants for spring or matching separates! Audrey and Marilyn have been great influences on the 2014 “essential Wardrobe of a fashionista”! Vintage inspired Coats, Trench-coats, Double breasted Coats, Vests & Jackets have been doing rounds at the various national as well as international fashion Week’s this year. The most important part of these vintage jackets is the sharp tailoring and the pastel hue’s that revive the royal era.
3.) Wool Caps, Felt Caps, Mountain gear:
Tommy Hilfiger showed us how Mountain gear could be sexy and elegant with lovely colorful woven wool caps. Caps or head-gear is must have this Winter to safe-guard yourself from chilly wind. This year felt caps, woolen caps and fur caps are in Vogue. Take a look at the fur caps by badgley mischka from her fall 2014 collection.
4.) Leather, Leather and more Leather!
Leather is one trend that is never going out of fashion. It looks chic and it has an old world charm to it and most importantly it keeps you warm like nothing else. Be it leather boots, leather dress, leather pants, leather jacket or leather skirts, this is one trend that is classic, sport-able and never gonna change. Invest in a leather something and I tell you, you will never regret. This year, shiny leather has taken its supreme place at the international new york fashion week’s autumn fall collection.

5.) Scarves & Ponchos:
This one’s an easy guess, Scarves are a must have for winters any day. But this year fashion designers have shown us the different ways a simple scarf can be worn to bring the sexy in you 😉 Not only that, but a new term coined altogether named Blanket Scarf, where the scarf is not the usual short rectangular drape but rather a huge blanket like scarf that is worn like a Poncho. Burberry has given us a range of such mosaic printed woolen blanket scarves that are now being customized by almost every celebrity on earth.
Coming to Ponchos, Well the asia inspired Kimonos & Ponchos are slowly making their way into international fashion week’s and in no time will we see the street style flooded with beautiful ponchos 😉
