Designer duo Paras and Sonam Modi of SVA Couture present Peacock themed collection at LFW 2013
The designer duo Paras and Sonam Modi of SVA Couture have been one of the favorites recently amongst the Bollywood circuit. With Celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Prachi Desai, Amrita Roa, Aditi Hydari wearing their traditional collection. The designer’s presented their latest collection which was a blend of traditional and contemporary fashion. The collection named “Aangan” was inspired from the rich culture and tradition of Rajasthan. Thus peacock being a symbolic representation. The extensive use of vibrant colours in various shades of Blues, Brown and Orange. The detailing was restricted to prints, embroidery, cut-work and little cloth buttons on sleeves, hemlines and duppata borders apart from the tiny colorful felt-ball materials here and there.

Sonam and Paras Modi Collection at Lakme Fashion Week
Beautiful shades of Blue on white sashayed down the ramp with Peacock embroidery, gold bead buttons, Peacock cut-work, felt balls and Sheer as the major attraction. This particular white saree was one of my favourite. It is a beautiful white saree with gold and blue border and a Peacock cut-work embroidery at the pallu paired with a cut-out Blouse.

Not only Blues, but Brown and Orange were show-stunners. One particular dress with asymmetric hemlines and Sheer top paired with fitted trousers was the best contemporary look of the collection.
Prachi Desai for SVA Couture
The cute actress Prachi Desai was the show-stopper walking for SVA Couture designer’s Sonam and Paras Modi in a beautiful felt ball cropped top and a white lehenga with peacock design and contrasting orange duppata with peacock scales print.
Overall, we liked the beautiful blend of traditional material used in a very contemporary fashion by designers Paras and Sonam Modi for SVA Couture collection and we are looking forward to see these outfits off the ramp.. 🙂
